Early Discoveries
I am half Indian and half Filipino, but grew up and lived in Thailand for twelve years. I attended an international school where it was normal to hear Japanese, Mandarin, and many other foreign languages in the hallways. My close friends are of different nationalities and highly influence my love for travel, which continues to serve as inspiration for my art.
I always gravitated towards creative activities in school. Whether it was designing a cover for a science report (I didn’t even get any bonus points!) or taking cross-stitching in fifth grade as an after-school activity (who does that?), anything art-related was my jam. If it wasn’t for my high school teacher who encouraged me to consider a career in the arts, I never would have considered design.

Graphic Design and More
I set off to San Francisco in 2001 to pursue a degree in graphic design at the California College of the Arts and the University of
San Francisco. Attending a gruelling dual-degree program laid a solid foundation for me. It taught me to hustle, to have grit, and
to pull off all-nighters (highly not recommended, by the way).
With 10+ years of combined experience (wow, I feel old) in graphic design and UI/UX, I am a now revelling in the world of surface pattern design. It is not only passion that has carried me through my endeavours, but also a curiosity and a deep yearning for true fulfilment.
